Who we are

About DFS

Quality and empathetic

divorce asset division

for couples and their

supporting professionals

For over a decade, Divorce Financial Strategists™ has been assisting families and their legal and financial professionals divide and allocate personal assets in divorce. In 2011, the founder, Karen D. Sparks, CDFA®, J.D.  saw a need within family law for more Certified Divorce Financial Analysts® who train specifically to facilitate asset discussions.

Lawyers don’t study math. Mediators specialize in facilitating conversations to build consensus. And other financial professionals, such as Certified Public Accountants, wealth managers and Certified Financial Planners®, train specifically to manage and handle money in various situations.

So DFS™ exists to financially advise divorcing families, and help them breathe a sigh of relief as they navigate one of life’s greatest disruptors.
